Wes’s Musical Meltdown for 07/23/2015: Show Notes, Playlist, and download

This was, by far, one of my favorite shows I’ve ever done in the six years I’ve done internet radio. Yes, it was riddled with internet drops and other technical difficulties, but despite that, this one was a blast to be a part of. In addition to great music, and a Slash block in honor of yesterday being his 50Th birthday, I had the chance to have a long-time friend of mine and my brothers on the program. We were joined for the majority of the show by Spyke Kasson, who is trying out for NBC’s The Voice. She’ll be attending tryouts on Saturday, July 25, at which point, she’ll learn whether or not the producers think she has what it takes to move on to the next round of competition. We hope to have her on again on Saturday, August 1, to hear about her trip, the results, and what the future holds. The August 1 show will run from 7:00-10:00 PM Pacific/10:00PM-1:00 AM Eastern…Maybe even later if we’re having fun. Catch the show on XTFM, along with our other awesome DJ’s.

In addition to an excellent interview, Spyke serenaded us with two songs. We heard both “Paper Bag” by Fiona Apple and “Syrup and Honey” by Duffy.

Below is the playlist for the remaining music played by myself and Jo, as well as the links to stream or download the show. Of course, if you wish to purchase any of the tracks on tonight’s show and want to help out the site, Visit my Amazon Site.
