This week’s Meltdown took place on Tuesday instead of Sunday due to some medical problems. Things are looking much better now, and I thank my audience for their understanding when life happens.
This week, the focus was on country music. Commercial, alternative, Americana, classic, new…Country in all its forms. The hardest part about a genre-specific show is that there’s so much great stuff. Naturally, some artists will be missed when trying to keep up that balance of giving the audience the radio country they’re used to, and throwing in some stuff that you maybe haven’t heard before. That said, the all-country shows may become a peeriodic thing on The Meltdown.
This Sunday on XTFM, Megan Weiner will be making her hosting debut in my slot. I want to thank the listeners for all of the positive feedback on Rebekah’s show from last week. Let’s show Megan the same love. Depending on how it goes, who knows what the future may hold for the mother-daughter duo of Megan and Rebekah. Will they bbe occasional fill-ins for the Meltdown? Will they team up for a show? Only they know the answers.
Enjoy this trip through the country music spectrum. I return to the air on July 30 with a regular, anything goes Meltdown.
Thanks to Rebekah for the suggestion for this week’s Cover Comparison.
