Wes’s Musical Meltdown for October 08, 2017: Back After Unplanned Hiatus

This week, the Meltdown returned after an unintended two-week hiatus. Between illness and hard drive failure, I was sidelined. Tonight almost didn’t happen thanks to issues with Spectrum Internet tanking right as the show was about to begin. Thankfully, the equipment was slapped into submission and the show went on.

Of course, we played some Tom Petty in honor of his untimely passing. We also briefly touched on the tragedy in Vegas last weekend. We also brought you lots of new music from Walker McGuire, Ashley McBryde, Midland, UFO, Nothing More, and many more.

Tonight’s Cover Comparison saw a one-hit wonder go up against one of the original death/black metal bands. As always, your requests were played as well. Listen until the end to hear a funny story from the weekend as it relates to my childhood.

Catch the show live most Sundays at 7:00 PM East. on XTFM, and check out our other great DJ’s as well!

Wes’s Musical Meltdown for 08/13/2017

This week on the Meltdown, it was lots of music, and not a lot of talk. We did address the situation in Charlottesville through song and a bit of conversaation…I was tired, but I think the playlist made up for it.

The Cover Comparison went country, putting Lee Ann Womack up against her friend and sometimes collaborator Buddy Miller. Stay tuned to find out which version of the song won.

In addition, we had lots of new music from Third Day, Kesha, Hinder, Lindsay Ell, and more.

Join me again next Sunday night at 7:00 PM East on XTFM.
