Wes’s Musical Meltdown for 09/10/2017

This week’s edition of the Meltdown started out with a tribute set for three members of the music community lost during the week. We paid tribute to Dave Hlubeck of Molly Hatchet, Troy Gentry of Montgomery-Gentry, and country legend Don Williams.

Cover Comparison had Public Enemy going up against Anthrax. We had new music from Toby Keith, Kip Moore, Dustin Lynch, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, The Cadillac Three, Queens of The Stone Age, Our Lady Peace, and Sister Hazel. As always, we had a good supply of requests.

Catch the show live every Sunday night at 7:00 PM East on XTFM.

Wes’s Musical Meltdown for 9/11/15: Show Recap, Playlist, and Download

As I was ill on September 8, my normal Tuesday night for doing the shows, I rescheduled for Friday, September 11. In addition to the normal show, we had an extended musical tribute to the events and aftermath of September 11, 2001, a day NO American should ever forget. I’d like to thank all of those who suggested tracks beyond the normal two or three that are always played in memory of the day. Thanks to Shannon, Julie, Maggie, and others. Thanks to all who interacted in the chat room. Thanks, also, to Megan Mason for her co-hosting talents.

This week, our cover comparison comes from Stevie Wonder and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Listen to find out who won. Also, listen to hear my picks for week one of the NFL regular season. Let’s see if I do better than I did last year.
