Wes’s Musical Meltdown for 07/24/2018: Dad’s Birthday, new country, Songs aBout Work, And More

After having taken the previous week off due to not feeling well, and so the kids could have more time on-air, I’m back! On this show, we start with a set for all those working people with jobs they hate, dedicated to my now-former employer. No, the “former” isn’t because of the opening set. You’ll learn more about that on a future podcast to be uploaded later. We also do a block of songs that remind me of my dad’s 8-track collection in honor of his birthday. Lots of new country, new rock, and even a bit of Christian Contemporary to close out the show.

Cover Comparison this week pitted Kenny Wayne Shepherd up against, of all bands, Five Finger Death Punch. Listen to find out how that turns out.
