Wes’s Musical Meltdown for 03/26/2017 with Guest Megan Weiner

Tonight’s show, as always, was lots of fun and, I hope, entertaining for the listeners.

We paid tribute to late Boston drummer Sib Hashian. We brought you the new Tim and Faith single. We played requests…And, we went back to the year 2005. I brought Megan on again as both of our daughters have birthday’s coming up in April. The discussion and music were both lots of fun.

There will not be a live show next week; if all goes as planned, XTFM will re-broadcast a show my daughter did for us from July 24, 2014. Next Sunday is her birthday, and I have a commitment that will not allow me to be back in time for the show…So, to celebrate, we’ll replay the Alexis Edition of the Meltdown, and it will go up as next week’s podcast.

Wes’s Musical Meltdown for 12/08/2015: Artist Tributes, and Great Conversation with Co-Host Bob In The Black Boots

The December 8, 2015 Meltdown on XTFM will go down as one of my favorite shows in my internet radio career. Fellow XTFM DJ, host of The Cemetery at Midnight, Bob In The Black Boots, served as co-host. We went for just over five hours with lots of great music and conversation. Even with a few technical hiccups where the computer tried to substitute random tracks, the show was a success!

We had plenty of listener requests. Thanks to Gina, Bridgette, Megan, and Mai Laing for seeing to that. Please note, The Request Page has a New Address! We also had our cover comparison, pitting Dave Mason up against Billy Dean. In addition, as it was the anniversary of the deaths of a few musicians, birthday of another, and just a few days after the recent passing of a current artist, we had tributes to John Lennon, Jim Morrison, Dimebag Darrell, and the recently departed Scott Weiland.

We hope you enjoy listening to the show as much as we enjoyed doing it! As always, if you’re enjoying what you hear and want to help the page, Do your Amazon Shopping through Me.

December 2015 begins with a new Wes’s Musical Meltdown, with co-hostess Silvia! She wasn’t with us for the entire program, but did make it for most of it. The show ran just under four hours, and was packed with requests and conversation. Thanks…Paybacks come in many forms, my friends. 😉

Of course, we had the cover comparison mmixed in with the requests and randomness. As always, if you like what you hear, and if you shop Amazon, Shop My Amazon Page. Cyber Monday deals continue all week long!

Wes’s Musical Meltdown with Co-Host DJ Faithful: 11/17/2015

This week’s Musical Meltdown saw the addition of a new co-host to the rotation, DJ Faithful. DJ Faithful is a fellow XTFM DJ, as wwell as a DJ at another internet station. We’ve known each other and have been friends for years, but this was our first opportunity to work together on a show, and I guarantee it won’t be our last.

We discussed several topics of the day, and played lots of great music. Lots of requests on this show, which I love, because it makes my life easier. Remember, you can make requests before and during the shows.

Amongst the excellent music, we featured three tracks from singer-songwriter, and good friend, Bridgette Koteles. If you want to hear and buy her music, Visit her Soundclick Page.

Also, one of our other regulars in the co-hosting rotation, Megan, has started a new business, which we plugged on the show. Check out her Jamberry Page and Buy some product.

Of course, we reminded the listeners about The Request-A-Thon for Shelly. There’s still plenty of time to donate, and to get your requests in for it!

As always, if you like what you hear, don’t forget, you can find most of the music, and anything else you might want, on Amazon

Wes’s Musical Meltdown for 11/03/2015: Show Recap and Download

The November 3, 2015 show was a fun one. Just over three hours; lots of music, and interesting topics. Unfortunately, technology decided to be uncooperative and eat the playlist. However, I’m confident you’ll enjoy the mix of classic country, Christian Contemporary, rock, and even some 80’s Alternative on this week’s show.

Megan served again as co-host, and discussed her involvement with a company called Jamberry. Want to know more? Listen to the show, then get in touch.

We also discussed the failure of Issue 3, Marijuana Legalization, here in OOhio, where the show is currently based. I discussed ways they could possibly have more success on next year’s ballot.

Using The Musical Meltdown To Help Someone Live Their Dream: Please Join me and Help

Every week, I do Wes’s Musical Meltdown at 10:00 PM East on Tuesday nights on XTFM. I do it for the music, for the fun, and to entertain and interact with my friends and listeners.

This week is a little different. Yes, all the normal aspects of the Meltdown will be there. But, this week, I have a very special guest, working toward a very special goal. Join me as I bring my friend Shelly Gage on as a guest host and interview subject. Shelly, like me, is blind. She is also a musician and composer. You will hear some of her music on the show. However, unlike me, she has a chance at having her sight again. In order to achieve her dream of continuing as a figure skater, Shelly needs to have her vision restored if at all possible.

How is my radio show going to help? By talking with Shelly, letting her tell her story, and encouraging you, my listeners, friends, and family to donate to her very worthy cause. Shelly is a sweet, wonderful, positive person who, once you hear her on-air, you’ll absolutely love. Due to a procedure using stem cells, there is a good chance her vision can be restored. Now, for those who hear “stem cells” and automatically think abortion or fetal stem cell research, this is far different. Instead of embryonic stem cells, this procedure uses Adipose stem cells, taken from the recipient herself.

I encourage you to check out the following links, and to join Shelly and myself for the Musical Meltdown Tuesday night at 10:00 PM East on XTFM. If you have questions or comments, we welcome them during the show. Throughout the show, I’ll be letting you know how to get in touch with the program and ask Shelly any questions you may have.

To learn more about Shelly, see her story, and possibly give, Visit her Giving Page.

For an article that talks a bit more about the research behind this procedure, Click here.

We look forward to having you join the program. If you’d like, you can Submit Requests for the show before and during the program.

Wes’s Musical Meltdown For 10/06/2015: Show Recap, Playlist and Download Links

The first Musical Meltdown of October was a fun and interesting one. I gave Megan the night off, and we had David Dunphy, who is well-known throughout the internet radio community, as our co-host. David brought his wit, humor, and insights to the program and helped us have lively discussions on sports, Draft Kings-style 1-day Fantasy leagues, and of course…The big topic, at least in the blind community this past week, Jewel Shuping. For those who don’t know about her, do a Google search, and listen to our discussion. She went blind, either accidentally or on purpose, depending on which reports you believe, due to drain cleaner in the eyes. Ouch! Sounds unpleasant to me.

Of course, in addition to lively conversation, we played your requests and had our cover comparison. Also, I apologize in advance for the weird ending. The universe conspired to have Skype and all other sound just sort of tank mid-way through a Van Halen song, and once I got some things back up, we were in the midst of another song…So, we aborted the show slightly before we intended to end. Even so, it clocks in at just over the normal 3 hours.

Join us next week as I will have an incredible guest for everyone to enjoy.
